Above is I-10, photographer is on a service rd. The brown line in the picture was the water level.

A trailer house pulled next to the road by the water. The nearest neighborhood was 600 yards away.

A boat lying on debris in one of the neighborhoods.

Part of this house was ripped off by the waters. There is another boat at the end of the road.

These are pilings that once held the house above ground.

An entire neighborhood wiped out by the fury of Katrina. Only foundations remain.

This house was next to a church. Is completely destroyed and moved away from its slab.

The church was undamaged by the storm; not as much as a single window broken nor even a single shingle missing from the roof. Take notice also to the steeple not as much as a scratch. God works in mysterious ways.

This house was at the other side of the church. Completely destroyed, picked up and moved away from its slab.

Cars piled next to a hotel by the wrath of Katrina

High priced houses reduced to rubble by the water and strong winds.
